Location

St Pois is located in the middle of the south Normandy countryside between the towns of Vire, Mortain, Brécey and Villedieu-les-Poeles and benefits from wonderful views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The regional town of Avranches and the wonderful sandy beaches north towards Granville are all about 30 minutes away by car. The extensive forests of St Sever and Mortain are all less than 10 minutes away.

The cottage is situated opposite the village square where a market is held every Thursday morning, selling fresh local produce and hot food. The coast, with plenty of long, sandy beaches and beautiful coastal towns such as Granville and Jullouville, is about forty minutes away.

All necessary day-to-day shopping and grocery requirements are available in the village. The nearest supermarket in Brécey is a 15 minute drive south-west of the village. Although very rural and quiet, there is easy access to numerous places of interest. Caen is one hour away, Cherbourg is one and a half hours and St Malo is just over an hour away.

The SNCF railway station in Villedieu-les-Poeles is about 20 minutes away by car and, from there, the centre of Paris can be reached in 3 hours.
